Activities
  • Incorporate existing tools (e.g., NCDB OPIs, the Classroom Observation instrument, and FileMaker Pro database) into an evaluation system to analyze effective technical assistance
  • Develop and disseminate outcomes-based evaluation model
  • Identify partners for pilot
  • Conduct training on model
  • Conduct formative & summative evaluation of model
  • Make changes based on evaluation feedback & re-employ with pilot partners
Projected Outcomes
  • To increase TA recipient's knowledge and skill about formative and summative evaluation
  • To increase knowledge about outcomes-based evaluation model to document impact
  • To increase knowledge about fidelity measures to document implementation
  • To increase implementation of formative and summative evaluation for ongoing feedback and continuous improvement
  • To increase implementation of an outcomes-based evaluation model
Impact
  • Increased documentation of positive educational outcomes for children who are deaf-blind, their service providers and families
