Interpreting for Deaf-Blind Individuals

Overview

Interpreters for individuals who are deaf-blind translate information from one mode or language to another (spoken language to sign language and vice versa). An interpreter acts as a conduit through which information flows. Interpreters for individuals, who are deaf-blind use the style of communication that is the best fit for the individual, e.g., tactile sign language, close or low vision sign language, tactile finger spelling, etc.
