Early Intervention

Overview

Early intervention refers to educational services for young children (birth to age 3) who have disabilities.  This selected topic includes links to general information about early intervention programs and services.  Some of the resources are specific to deaf-blindness and some are relevant for children with any type of disability. For information about specific strategies for interacting and working with infants and toddlers who are deaf-blind, see the selected topic, “Babies and Infants” or selected topics on specific areas of instruction (e.g., communication, orientation and mobility).
