Families from traditionally underserved populations may include, but are not limited to, those from varying cultural, ethnic, socio-economic and geographic groups. These families are often at high risk for not being aware of services for their child and family, not being able to access or afford services , and not having services that are appropriate to meet their needs Each underserved group may have its own unique characteristics that require individualized strategies for effective technical assistance delivery. NCDB works with other organizations and families from the identified population to develop strategies to effectively meet the needs of these families. These strategies and related materials are made available to others to help them improve their services to families from underserved populations.
