Summary

This interactive, online, self-paced tutorial was designed for use by people with disabilities, family members, and concerned citizens. It takes about three hours to complete, and is available 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Participants will learn how to: effectively ``tell their story`` to policymakers; identify which policymakers would be most helpful in bringing about positive change; write effective letters and e-mails; conduct productive meetings with policymakers; give effective testimony and answers to questions; and organize with others to address important issues. The course was developed by Partners in Policymaking, a competency based leadership training program for adults with disabilities and parents of young children with developmental disabilities in Minnesota.
