Title: Introduction- Kathee Scoggin KATHEE SCOGGIN: I know how we've been talking a lot as we've been working on this module about the idea of what conditions are present for the child to be available for learning. If the child is not available to learn the reality it is that you we are wasting our time and I might as well go out for Coke because it's not gonna make any difference So one of the things that we've talked about is what are some of the internal factors that a child has going on that we may not be aware of. And then what are the external things that we might be able to change in one way or another add, subtract, um, modify that will allow that child to be alert and available to learn which is what our goal is and that's what we want the interveners to be able to have. So that what they're helping that student learn is possible that we're not wasting our time or that child's time for making life much worse for them.
