NARRATOR: A title: Jake's Team. Jake's mother, Dee, and brother, Connor, sit at a table. Someone offscreen speaks. FEMALE OFFSCREEN VOICE: So what do you see as your role on his team? It's probably changed a little bit now that he's an adult, but during his school years versus what do you see your role as now, now that he's an adult? DEE: I don't know if my role has really changed in my mind, because even when he was you know 8 and 10 and 12, my long-term goal, my vision always has been to help him learn to be as independent as possible and now that he's an adult I'm looking at what is it going to take for him to be independent as possible. Whether that's you know, taking care of his meals, laundry, communicating, playing, you know, whatever that is. What is it going to take to help him learn to be independent and I feel like now at this state, I think the tasks we are working on independent changed but not my role.
