Educational Supports

Interveners provide access to information, the environment, communication, and conceptual learning for children who are deaf-blind. Growth in intervener services has been slowly increasing. In 2019, the number of children receiving intervener services was 872 (8%). In 2015, this was true for only 587 (6.1%).
