Early Intervention Services: What is Part C?

June 2020

Part C, officially the Program for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities, is a federal grant program to assist states in providing a comprehensive system of early intervention services for infants and toddlers with or at risk for disabilities and their families. Services are available in each state.

Part C utilizes a family-centered approach, in which services are provided at home or in other natural environments to support families and caregivers to learn strategies that encourage the growth and development of children with disabilities.
